Rick and Lisa Mendenhall, along with Stephanie Gotzman, operate First Response First Aid & CPR, LLC, a local medical training organization in Southern Oregon.

Rick is an EMT-P, and is a Captain Paramedic for over 20 years for  Jackson County Fire District #4.  In addition, he has served as the Police Chief for the City of Shady Cove and was a member of the Jackson County Sheriff's SWAT Team Medic.  Rick holds certifications for:  Swift Water Rescue Technician 2, Firefighter 2, Apparatus Operator 1, Wild Land Firefighter 1, and a Field Training Officer.  Rick holds an instructor certification for Medic First Aid®, American Safety and Health Institute®, and American Heart Association®.    "Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, Instructor 1 and Instructor Developer".  He also is a State of Oregon  First Responder Course Instructor.

Lisa Mendenhall is an EMT-B, and is an active Firefighter/EMT for Fire District#4.  Lisa hold certifications for:  Swift Water Rescue Technician 1, Firefighter 1 and Pump Operator, Wild Land Firefighter 1.  Lisa holds an instructor certification for Medic First Aid®, American Safety and Health Institute®, and American Heart Association®.   "Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, Instructor 1". She is also a State of Oregon First Responder Instructor.   Lisa holds an instructor trainer certification for Medic First Aid® and American Heart Association® and American Safety and Health®.

Stephanie Gotzman is the Financial Officer for First Response First Aid & CPR, LLC.  Stephanie is an Instructor for Medic First Aid®.   Stephanie's many responsibilities include handling the accounting side of the company, as well as developing our client database for recalling our customers.  

First Response First Aid & CPR, LLC, is a Training Site for American Heart Association®, and a Training Center for Medic First Aid®, and American Safety and Health Institute.  Our company teaches community classes, as well as professional rescuer courses.  These courses carry a two year certification.

Our mission is to train in the community and the workplace, as well as health care professionals, in life sustaining skills.  We are committed to helping companies comply with regulatory requirements, and individuals with knowledge to help in emergency situations.

We facilitate classes in a relaxed, yet professional manner.  We ensure a high quality educational experience for students, providing cost effective, patient care focused trainings.  Training ordinary people for extraordinary circumstances.  Our instructors are not text book instructors; they have experience in real emergency situations.
